VivaCell Coating Glass Beads (Ø4 mm) provide an effective and easy method for optimal spreading on agar plates. The glass beads are gently rolled back and forth, allowing the E. coli solution (or any bacterial or fungal solution) to be spread evenly into every corner of the plate. Multiple plates containing glass beads can be stacked and shaken simultaneously for coating. The glass beads are reusable—after use, wash with 70% ethanol, then autoclave and dry in an oven.
